Food Ops

RamRide Foop-Ops is suspended for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester. For more information about food security resources, see the message below from Mike Buttram regarding COVID-19 updates and please visit Rams Against Hunger

Fellow Rams,

During these unprecedented times, Rams Against Hunger and our partners at the Food Bank of Larimer County remain committed to offering the services that we know to be essential. The nature of this pandemic, however, requires us to rethink our “normal” methods of food distribution. To that end, we would like to inform you about the current and upcoming Rams Against Hunger services that remain available to our Ram Community.

To help address significant financial stress and food insecurity, Rams Against Hunger will begin providing food through a distribution site.  The site will be housed at the Lory Student Center Theatre and Summer hours of operation are below and begin on 5/20:

  • Monday: CLOSED
  • Tuesday: CLOSED
  • Wednesdays: 3:00 – 6:00 pm
  • Thursdays: 8:00 am – noon
  • Fridays: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

All CSU students, staff and faculty may select from a variety of fresh, refrigerated and shelf-stable foods. The distribution site is open to anyone with a CSU ID. To access the site, enter the south entrance of the Lory Student Center and follow the signs.

Anyone visiting the site must adhere to strict social distancing guidelines and health protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Rams Against Hunger also will continue to offer a limited selection of food items to all members of the Ram community at the following Pocket Pantry locations:

  • Lory Student Center- level 200 – ASCSU Plaza-side entrance
Please “swipe” your CSU ID to enter the Pocket Pantry doors
  • University Housing – Aggie Village Family Apartments
Aggie Village Family Center – 501 West Prospect St, Building 24
  • University Housing – University Village Center Apartments
    1500, 1600, 1700 West Plum

Hand sanitizer is available and we encourage using it before and after opening doors.

This expansion of services will increase food security for the Ram community. During our early April distribution day, Rams Against Hunger provided more than 800 boxes of food to those in need in a few short hours.
