If you are unable to fulfill a shift you committed to, the best option is to find another volunteer within your organization to cover the shift.

1. Click on the shift you need to switch.
2. Click on the three dots found on the bottom right.
3. Click the “offer shift” button.
4. Search for the member of your organization that is able to cover that shift and click their name.
5. Click the “Offer” button.
6. Now, the member of your group that you offered the shift to must log in and go to their dashboard. They will need to click on the notification and click the “accept” button.

7. Wait for RamRide to approve the shift exchange. Once that is done, you will both receive notifications. The member now responsible for the shift will be able to see the shift on their schedule.

Why would someone fail an MVR check?

Do the volunteers have to be members of our organization?

  • No- you could have a friend, roommate, etc., volunteer on behalf of your student org, but they would counts towards one of your 10 maximum volunteers. Please know that all volunteers must be able to provide a valid CSUID.

What if I’m in more than one organization?

  • If you’re in more than one organization and want to help both of them fundraise, you certainly can- but know that you count as each one of the organizations’ maximum of 10.
  • When you volunteer, you will need to tell the RamRide staff which organization you are completing your shift on behalf of (which org you are fundraising for that night).

What if I’m not in an organization and I want to volunteer?

  • You could volunteer on behalf of an organization serving as one of their 10 reps.
  • During this semester of piloting this new volunteer model, RamRide will not be allowing individual volunteers.
  • We will be putting 100% of our focus on optimizing the student organization/fundraising model.
  • We hope to bring back individual volunteer opportunities in future semesters.

What if my organization wants to do more than 10, 20, or 30 shifts?

  • Your organization will only be allowed to commit to the 10, 20, or 30 shifts initially.
  • If you complete your original shifts, you will not be allowed to sign a new contract (like another contract for 10), but you will be allowed to pick up additional pairs of shifts and earn $66/pair.

Does my international driver’s license count?

  • No, University policy requires RamRide drivers to have had a US driver’s license for at least 1 year.
      • All other programs at CSU have a 2-year requirement, RamRide was given an exception.

What if one of my student org members doesn’t pass the MVR check?

  • We will inform the Team Leader that the student org member does not qualify be a RamRide driver.
  • This person will not count as one of your ten.

What time do volunteer need to arrive for their shift?

  • Volunteers need to be in the RamRide office by 8:15 pm, and plan to volunteer with RamRide through the completion of operations (between 3:00 am and 4:00 am).
