Does it cost anything to participate in Food Ops?
It is totally free to participate in RamRide Food Ops and receive deliveries. This program is intended to help students battle food insecurity.

When should I apply to receive a Food Ops Box?
You should apply by 5 pm the Wednesday before the delivery date. You are welcome to apply for the entire semester in one sitting, or fill out the form as needed throughout the semester.  Please note: RamRide Food Ops is designed for students, faculty, and staff who cannot come to, or transport food home from, the Rams Against Hunger Food Pantry. We ask that only individuals who meet these requirements fill out the application. We thank you for your understanding!

How and when should I cancel a Food Ops delivery?
If you need to cancel a delivery (or all of your upcoming deliveries), please reach out to us as soon as possible. Ideally, we would appreciate notice by Thursday of the week of your delivery. This helps us ensure that no food is wasted from a box being packed but not needed. To cancel, please call 970-491-2248 and leave a message with your name and phone number, or email the food ops coordinator at ramride@colostate.edu.

What is the delivery window for receiving a Food Ops box?
Deliveries always take place on Friday afternoons. Estimated delivery time is between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm unless otherwise noted on the application or communicated via email.

Will I receive a reminder about my delivery?
You will receive a confirmation email with all your selected dates after submitting your application. Additionally, you will receive an email reminder about your delivery on the Wednesday before the delivery day. Please add ramride@colostate.edu to your safe senders list to ensure you don’t miss any communications from us. Need help doing this? Click here for instructions on adding senders to your safe list.

Do I need to be present to receive my delivery?
You do not need to be present to receive your delivery. All deliveries are contactless and delivery instructions that you provide when filling out the application are followed. You will receive a text-confirmation when your box is delivered. If you are unable to bring your box into your residence within a reasonable time frame – please arrange for someone to help you with this task so that your food doesn’t spoil! If you live in Aggie Village, your box will need to be picked up within 2 hours of the delivery, your box will be located at the front desk at Lodgepole. If you live at International House, your box will be located at the front desk. We ask that you pick it up as soon as you can following your delivery confirmation. If there is an accessibility concern about picking your box up at the front desk, please email us at ramride@colostate.edu so we can accomodate you. If you live at Aggie Village Family, University Village, or most off campus housing your box will be delivered directly to your door. If your apartment complex requires that we leave your package at a front desk, please note this in your application. 

Can I volunteer to help with RamRide Food Ops?
At this time, we are not accepting volunteers for Food Ops. If you are seeking a volunteer opportunity, please visit our RamRide Night Ops Volunteer page for more information about volunteering with RamRide.  Additional volunteer opportunities can be found through Growing Food Security. Growing Food Security is based out of ARDEC. Growing Food Security, Or GFS, is a project managed each year by graduate level students, who grow thousands of pounds of food, mainly benefitting the Rams Against Hunger Pantry, so that folks experiencing food security have access to nutritious, local produce. Where is the Rams Against Hunger Pantry located?
Rams Against Hunger is proud to offer a permanent food pantry on campus. All members of our community (students, staff and faculty) may access the RAH Food Pantry, located at the CSU General Services Building (1251 Mason Street). Please bring your CSU ID card and bags! What if I am unable to make it to the Rams Against Hunger pantry during its normal hours?
If the only thing limiting you from visiting the Rams Against Hunger Pantry is the operating hours, please reach out to us at ramride@colostate.edu to see if we can accommodate you. We ask that only individuals who meet these requirements fill out the application. 

What are pocket pantries and where are they located?
Pocket Pantries are small pantries with food that you can grab. In partnership with ASCSU, Rams Against Hunger offers a limited selection of food items to all members of the Ram community at the following Pocket Pantry locations: 

• Lory Student Center- level 200 – ASCSU Plaza-side entrance
  Please “swipe” your CSU ID to enter the Pocket Pantry doors
• University Housing – Aggie Village Family Apartments
  Aggie Village Family Center – 501 West Prospect St, Building 24
